Making a Difference by Becoming a Candidate
We’re kicking off March with a guest who has made a giant impact on her community. Jamie Romeo is the County Clerk in Monroe County. She’s a lifelong resident of the Town of Irondequoit, proud mother of Dominic, and a proud Democrat. Jamie has had the honor and privilege of serving this community in numerous capacities.
She served as the New York State Assemblywoman representing the 136th District (Brighton, City of Rochester, Irondequoit) in the NYS Legislature. And, she has served as the Chair of the Monroe County Democratic Committee, Chief of Staff in the New York State Senate, and long-time staffer to the Monroe County Legislature.
She knows what she’s talking about and is uniquely qualified to kick off our podcast with advice on running for office for the first time, the stresses and strains of being a candidate, and how she’s been able to make a positive difference for her community.
